The Indian government, in association with the Ministry of Railways, has introduced the Bharat Gaurav trains, which are themed tourist circuit trains. The tourist train departed Shri Rpamayana Yatra Circuit on June 21st from New Delhi. The train, which is the first to connect 2 countries, will travel around 8,000 km between India and Nepal with a duration of 18 days.
The journey will take you to all destinations related to Rama
The train left New Delhi on 21 June and will travel to Nepal. Nepal is home to many Rama-related destinations such as Dhanusha Pahar, Baawan Bigha Kshetra, Ma Janki Janmasthali Mandir and Shri Ram Vivah Sthal and the tourist train will cover them all. The train will travel 8000km in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh along with 12 major cities such as Ayodhya, Hampi, Buxar, Bhadrachalam, Janakpur, Kanchipuram, Sitamarhi, Rameshwaram, Kashi, Nasik, Chitrakoot and Prayag. The trip will cost around ₹ 65,000 per person and has a capacity of 600 people.
Initiative of the Union Government
The Union government devised this initiative, “Dekho Apna Desh”, to promote tourism with the Bharat Gaurav regime. The train tour will have its first stop in Ayodhya. The IRCTC will provide tourists with a safety kit that will include face masks, hand sanitizer and gloves. Tourists must have a complete Covid-19 vaccination certificate to visit the monuments and temples of darshan. The certificates must be brought by tourists on paper or mobile.
