What is this global COVID certificate?

Post-pandemic digital travel solutions will require digital printing of travelers’ health status with their travel documents. A great example is the EU digital COVID certificate. In fact, 62 countries have already approved this certificate.

How everything coming to action??

On 9 June 2021, the European Union parliament approved the certificate for the Covid-19 vaccine. It came into action on July 1, 2021. This global Covid certificate contains all traveler information relating to the virus, their vaccination and test results. The certificate will record details of previous vaccination records, whether the person has ever contracted the virus and recovered, and also whether the person received a negative covid test result. You can access this certificate at no cost in both digital and paper format with a QR code. Additionally, countries such as India, China, Australia and the United States are working on issuing their digital certificate.

President Julia also announced that the World Tourism Board is in talks with Asia Pacific officials on this matter. A WTTC 2022 EIR report released on April 21, states that travel and tourism GDP is estimated to grow at an average annual rate of 5.8% over the next decade.

A few days ago the Philippines hosted the 21st WTTC World Summit at the Manila Marriott Hotel. Nearly 1,000 delegates from around the world attended the summit for a debate on “Rediscovering the Travel”. Craig s Smith, president of the Marriott International Group, said this initiative should be made public. It will be a very simple and useful method while traveling, if implemented correctly.
