Senior residents of the old house in Delhi will be taken to ‘Tirth Yatra’ for free, as announced by the Chairman of the Minister of Delhi Arvind Cornwall. CM said that a pilgrimage tour could not be done in 2020 and 2021 which had a pandemic Covid-19. He stated that tours would continue now under the Tirth Mukhyamantri Yatra Yojana. The government will bear the cost of a pilgrimage tour which will include holy places such as Haridwar, Rishikesh, Ayodhya, Rameshwaram, and Shirdi.
Kejriwal Had Launched Tourism App ‘Dekho Mere Dilli’
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had launched an app to provide detailed information about the prominent tourist spots, including the historic landmarks in the capital. The Dekho Mere Dilli app allows travelers to book tickets to popular tourist spots in Delhi. The app was launched as a handy guide for travelers who want to explore the nook and corner of Delhi.
Delhi Gets A New Old Age Home At Kanti Nagar; Five More To Come Up Soon
Now, Delhi has four government-aided old age homes at Kanti Nagar, Tahirpur, Wazirpur, and Bindapur. CM Kejriwal had recently inaugurated the facility at “Baba Sahab Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Senior Citizen Home” at Kanti Nagar. Another facility will come up at Paschim Vihar soon. The government is taking steps to ensure that elderly people feel at home in these old-age homes. The government has plans to launch four more facilities to accommodate around 1000 elderly people. Under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, the government will take these elderly people to pilgrimage tours free of cost.
