Drunk Employee of Goa’s MOPA Airport Creates Fake Bomb Scare; Arrested

A 22-year-old man in Goa who works at the Manohar International Airport has been accused of being involved in a serious legal situation after reporting about the bomb blast at the airport. One Saturday afternoon, the airport police received a disturbing call. At around 4:45pm, the caller said there was a bomb “at the airport”. When the call arrives, a high alert response is triggered immediately. Manohar International Airport in Mopa and Dabolim International Airport in Vasco have implemented the following security measures.

An Employee At The Goa Airport Made A Hoax Bomb Call

As authorities carefully investigated the critical call, it soon became clear that the bomb scare was unfounded and the alarm a hoax. Attention soon turned to finding and apprehending the perpetrator. Later, the Mopa police managed to find a man named Kundan Kumar who was called a fool. Kumar was working at the airport where the alarm call was made at the time of the incident.

Kumar, who hails from Bihar, reportedly admitted to making the call while under the influence of alcohol during an interview. His confession revealed the reason for the angry behavior, which has now landed him in legal trouble. Later, Kundan Kumar was accused of violating several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the first information report (FIR) against him. Section 505(1)(b) covers inciting public fear or alarm and section 506(ii). Section 507 covers criminal threats through anonymous communications. After his admission, Kumar was quickly arrested by law enforcement and further investigations were conducted to investigate the motive and intent of the hoax call.

Authorities have promised to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that such reckless behavior with public safety implications does not go unpunished. The incident is a reminder to reflect on the seriousness of false bomb threats. This can not only disrupt social order and cause panic, but also consume valuable resources. In addition to seriously endangering public safety, such behavior may also result in violations of the law.

The incident highlighted the need to be vigilant and cautious when dealing with security issues.
