Delhi has announced another Monkeypox case as of late and this is the third one to be accounted for from the public capital. Delhi government has instructed three private hospitals to build isolation rooms for monkeypox cases. The hospitals will also be needed to reserve five rooms for confirmed Monkeypox cases and five more for suspected cases. Kailash Deepak Hospital, MD City Hospital, and Batra Hospital will reserve 10 beds each (five for confirmed and five for suspected) to manage the isolation of monkeypox cases.

Precautions To Follow

Along with Swollen lymph nodes, chills, and exhaustion, the most common monkeypox symptom is a rash that looks like pimples or blisters. Any monkeypox case patient will have that. And it’s better you stay away from people with rash issues these days. That’s the most important precautionary measure you can follow. Also if you experience any of the mentioned symptoms, you should immediately consult the nearest health center. Apart from this, it’s better to avoid contact with any materials, such as bedding, that have been in contact with a sick person. Practice good hand hygiene after contact with infected animals or humans. For example, washing your hands with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when caring for any monkeypox case patient.
