Prakriti made history by becoming the first vegan woman in the world to reach the top of Mount Everest.

Meet Prakriti Varshney, a 26-year-old Indian mountaineer. Prakriti recently experienced one of the most unforgettable moments of her life. She climbed to the top of the great Mount Everest and did so by living a plant based life. It was on April 5, 2022 that she embarked on this journey of a lifetime and reached a huge milestone, arguably one of her greatest milestones on May 12, 2022. She embarked on this journey on April 5 and now holds the record of being the first vegan woman in the world to reach such a magnificent pinnacle.

Prakriti has been vegan for over 5 years

The result is remarkable and delicious, but what makes it most unique is her diet. Prakriti followed a plant-based diet during her ascent to the summit of Everest. In fact, she chose veganism after learning about the impact of dairy products on the environment and has been following it for over 5 years. She is on a journey to inspire others and dispel all the negative perceptions and myths of veganism. She chose veganism to contribute her part to a better world. Now her future goal is to climb all 14 mountains over 8,000m and inspire others to a plant-based diet and introduce them to all the health benefits and positive impacts of veganism. Prakriti set the record of being the second Indian woman to climb Nepal’s Ama Dablam Mountain in November. People often view this mountain as a globally challenging and struggling mountain, and climbing it has fueled their desire to conquer the largest Mount Everest. She had the motivation and drive to achieve great things, but monetary requirements were a problem at the time. She could raise just over $ 15,000 before her expedition to the top of Mount Everest. Prakriti added her journey to becoming vegan in her campaign and how it changed her life. In fact, she shared how her success on such a difficult journey will blow up the myths of veganism among people.

She has dreamed of this day since she was 15 years old

Prakriti saw the dream of arriving here when she was only 15 years old. She read it then and this motivated her for such an extraordinary journey. She always told her father that she would climb to the top of the highest mountain in the world. She didn’t know how expensive and extravagant it was to get there. Coming from a middle-class family, she stopped dreaming of it once she discovered the excessive cost of trekking in the mountains. Just last year she rethought her dream and started working hard to make it come true. And so she began her journey to reach the top of Everest.

Prakriti first enrolled in a basic mountaineering course

She has been climbing various mountains and her first big mountain was Mount Ama Dablam, in Nepal. From this success, she began working for Everest, but once the expenses stood between her and her dream. You have tried many sources and were finally able to raise funds through crowdfunding. Nearly 2,500 people helped her raise about $ 15,000 (about 12 lakhs). This was not enough and so she took nearly 10 lakhs from her family and her friends. Prakriti has also invested their savings to make this trip a reality. After reaping the costs and nearly 5 months of good training, she embarked on the unforgettable journey to Everest.
