Trek to Ancient Sigiriya Rock in Srilanka
Sigiriya rock or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Which is Just 5 Km from Famous Buddha Temple in Dambulla. Referring to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive Piece of rock nearly 200 meters high.
Day Itinerary
Took a Taxi from our Resort in Kandi, Srilanka took about a couple of hours to reach there and in total it was 3-4 hours of the organized trek with mostly stairs.
One Day Trip for One Person is 5000 Srilankan Rupees which was an Entrance Fee-Only.
Pro Tip: Carry your Passport For 50% Flat off on Entrance Fees, Unfortunately, we didn’t. Carry Water Bottles without any Label or Tags on it Keep your Bag Light
After Reaching Back to the Entrance we were so tired so decided to have some amazing Sri Lankan food on our way back to our Resort in Kandy, Srilanka which was about 2-3 hrs drive back. We had an Amazing Lunch at a Local Restaurant and the owner of the Restaurant was so excited to have Indians as a guest and decided to have lunch with us on our table.
