Gold in food is not new anymore. Culinarians around the world have launched many magnificent dishes made with genuine gold. Huber & Holly in Hyderabad also served a 24-karat gold plated ice cream known as Mini Midas. The price of a frozen Royal treat is ₹500, excluding tax. Recently, food blogger Abhinav Jeswani uploaded ice cream videos on Instagram. Along with the video, he wrote, “literally one of the best ice cream I have ever had.” The video has collected more than 284k like.
Cold Treat with Gold
In the video, we see the ice cream chef pouring ice cream above the cone filled with tempting chocolate. He then wrapped the layer of cream completely with gold leaf. Gold ice cream is then decorated with red cherries. He serves ice cream with frozen ice, beside the firecrackers, which makes it look more drool-worthy. One user commented, “This looks on.” Another comment, “It’s a killer ice cream.” But some others are not happy with the price tag and feel too much to spend ice cream.
Gold ice cream can be appreciated in Delhi too
Huber & Holly is not the only place that makes this ice cream. If you visit Delhi, you can try the gold ice cream known as ‘Go For Gold’ on De-Jag’s. Located in Rajouri Garden, one of the most crowded locations in the capital city, the ice cream parlour serves gold treat in a cone with a golden sugar balls. Cones are packed with chocolate chips, fudge, brownies, red velvet cakes and lots more and top with Macaron, Ferrero Rocher and Nuts. Like Mini Midas, Go For Gold Ice Cream in De-Jag is also priced with ₹500.
