Delhi Metro: 35 Year Old Woman Met With An Accident And Died After Her Saree Got Stuck In A Door

A 35-year-old woman who fell under a Delhi Metro train at Inderlok station died at Safdarjung hospital on Saturday due to her injuries. Delhi Metro: 35-year-old woman dies after tragic accident

According to reports from The Indian Express, the woman was injured after being dragged along a platform for more than 25 metres, colliding with a track access gate and falling onto the tracks. According to the Delhi Police, they acted under section 174. At Delhi’s Inderlok Metro station, a woman’s saree got stuck in the subway, forcing her to be dragged many meters along the platform. Later, while receiving therapy, she died. The event occurred on December 14th. According to Delhi Police, the action was taken under section 174 of the CrPC.

Vicky, a relative of the victim, described the accident: She was traveling from Nangloi, west Delhi, to Mohan Nagar when she met with an accident. She said her saree got entangled when she reached Inderlok metro station and was changing trains. She suffered serious injuries in the fall. She was in critical condition when she was taken to Safdarjung hospital and died on Saturday night.

Speaking about the incident, Anuj Dayal, Director Public Relations, Delhi Metro, said that it took place at Inderlok Metro station on Thursday. According to initial investigations, it appears that a passenger’s clothes got caught on a train, causing injuries that led to her death in hospital on Saturday.

Further, he stated that an investigation into this occurrence will be conducted by the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety.

Earlier, a man was trapped at Qutub Minar metro station

On November 12, a man was crushed to death at Delhi’s Qutub Minar Metro station after being trapped between the edge of the platform and an approaching metro train. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the individual was trying to use the tracks to move from one platform to another instead of escalators or steps. He was trapped in the middle as a train approached the station.

He was carried a short distance before dying immediately after being trapped between the train and the platform. Police said a woman at the station tried to lift him from the tracks. However, he was not saved. A man jumped himself in front of the Noida Metro and committed suicide.

Earlier in June, an unnamed man in Noida allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train. According to the police, who provided the details, the deceased was around 35 years old. Furthermore, they were trying to find out who he was.

According to an official, officers from the local police station rushed to the spot after learning about the incident. Police revealed that the man’s body has been subjected to an autopsy and that legal proceedings have been initiated. The accident took place at Sector 52 station in Noida. It is located along the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
