This will be Rishi Sunak’s first official visit to India as British Prime Minister to attend the G20 summit. He will live in a room at Shangri-La. The 43-year-old praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and said India was the “right country at the right time” before the summit.
Li Qiang will lead the Chinese delegation. This clearly indicates that President Xi Jinping will not be at the event. Since the first G20 summit in 2008, it will be the first time that a Chinese president will not be present.
