Mini Augustine, 56, is a force to be reckoned with. Born in Kerala, raised in Coimbatore, Mini Augustine is an avid cyclist who completed an 18-day trip from Delhi to Leh, in one bullet covering 2400km. oldest in biking groups, and ridiculed for riding a bike, Mini didn’t let anything stand in her way. She traveled all over India alone on her  bike. Here is her captivating story of hers.

Mini Augustine’s passion for cycling knows no bounds

Mini Augustine’s life choices were shaped by her being around her brother and neighbors, who were also children. From an early age, she Mini she began to ride a scooter, for which she was ridiculed. However, she absolutely loved her independence of hers. Whenever someone ridiculed her for riding a scooter as a child, she worked twice as hard to prove them wrong. Mini’s husband, Biju Paul, has always supported her efforts. And he even taught him how to drive a Royal Enfield Bullet 350. And that was the beginning of a whole new world.

Break stereotypes by traveling alone through India

The 56-year-old likes to ride a bike. Mini walks for social causes such as traffic awareness initiatives and the Nirmal Bangal cleanup campaign. In 2017, Mini Augustine traveled 2,400km from Delhi to Leh in 18 days. It was a physically and emotionally draining experience for her. But it was certainly a satisfaction. Mini spent a year preparing for it. While the consortium continues to be judged by other riders based on her age and gender, Mini doesn’t let anything stop. She continues to break stereotypes of her by traveling alone on her bike across India.
