In the coming winter season, the Australian national carrier is ready to launch hundreds of “points planes” to increase domestic travel. Travelers traveling to the capitals of Australia from June will have a 30% discount on economy class seats. It will also launch 1,700 “points planes” where you can reserve seats using frequent flyers. Olivia Wirth, CEO of Qantas Loyalty, said the programs would help boost tourism in the country.
Use of stockpiles at points
As customers amassed several stockpiles of points during the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline introduced the program to export its book of regular flyers. With the airline’s “Green Tier” program, which was launched earlier this year, customers with sustainable options earn earn frequent flyer miles.
Great demand for regional travel
There has been a huge demand for regional travel and 10,000 frequent flyers will be able to discover Australia this winter with the help of Points planes. This simply means that with points, travelers can fly between Sydney and Townsville for just AU $ 41.
