Russia is set to launch electronic visa (e-visa) for Indian passport holders from August 1, 2023. This decision comes as a result of the improvement of relations between the two countries and the promotion of tourism between the two countries.
With this development, it will allow Indian travelers to apply for Russian visas quickly and easily, which will further pave the way for a rewarding travel experience. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, citizens of about 52 countries will be able to take advantage of the electronic visa.
The newly introduced electronic visa will enable entry into the Russian Federation for various purposes, including business travel, hospitality, tourism and participation in various events. If the report goes through, the proposal will make the visa application process seamless and hassle-free for Indian tourists, reducing the need for bulky documents and long processing times.
According to the guidelines, the time required to process a single entry visa under the e-visa system will be limited to no more than four calendar days. Additionally, the consular fee for an e-visa has been set at around USD 40, making it an affordable option for travelers who want to explore Russia.
Referring to this, the official added that the introduction of the e-visa system is a big step forward in promoting tourism and streamlining the visa process for Indian visitors.
With this initiative, and the Delhi-Moscow flight operated by Aeroflot airlines, Russia is more ready to reach out than ever. The report added that travelers will be granted a 60-day visa, allowing them to explore the beauty of Russia for an unforgettable stay of up to 16 days.
When it comes to Russia, it is not only one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the world, but it is also a favorite holiday destination for Indians.
Therefore, when the e-visa system is operational, Indian travelers can expect to embark on an unforgettable journey to explore the historical sites, vast landscapes and cultures of Russia. But now, with an easy visa process and a host of tourist options, Russia wants to invite tourists to immerse themselves in its unparalleled hospitality and unparalleled charm.
