A Vacation in Space Could Soon Become a Reality, With The Opening of The World’s First Space Hotel in 2025

Space travel has become a reality, thanks to various programs that launch men (and women) into space. And yes, we mean Jeff Bezos, Sirisha Bandla, Richard Branson and the others who went with them. And now, once you go into space, you can stay in a space hotel! Read on for more information.

In three years, your vacation plan could include a trip to space. Tuesday, Orbital Assembly Corp. announced plans for two space stations, which will have the capacity to accommodate tourists, People reports.

Pioneer Station, which will have the capacity to accommodate 28 people, could be operational as early as 2025, fulfilling dreams of space for many. Additionally, the much larger Voyager Station, which can accommodate 400 tourists, is expected to open to visitors in 2027, People said.

Originally presented by the California-based Gateway Foundation, the futuristic housing features several modules connected by elevator shafts in a wheel that spins in orbit around the Earth, reports CNN. The idea, or goal, is to create a “business park” space, which will have offices and tourists, taking work from anywhere to a whole new level and giving it a whole new meaning.

This comes less than a year after billionaires Richard Branson and Jezz Bezos, and their respective teams, were literally launched into space, and Elon Musk plans to visit space soon. Speaking on CNN, Tim Alatorre, director of operations at Orbital Assembly, said, “The goal has always been to enable large numbers of people to live, work and thrive in space.” A press release from Alatorre added: “For the average person, being in space will be a science fiction dream experience.”

Both Pioneer and Voyager stations will also have office space available for those seeking new and unique experiences, making space dreams come true for thousands of people!
